The country and the people
DURATION: 6 DAYS

The tour includes the visit of Minsk, Capital City of Belarus; visit to the old town of Novogrudok, the former capital of the Great Principality of Lithuania and visit to one of the largest city in Belarus - Grodno. Tourists will have a chance to discover history, traditions, culture and contemporary life of the people.

Travelling by a comfortable "SAKUB" coach the tourists will make acquaintance of the beautiful nature of Belarus and its numerous lakes including the Svityaz, once described by the great poet A. Mitskevich; they will enjoy the fragrance of the famous Belarusian forests and watch the space of its fields and the new farms.

Accommodation in every city is provided in 3-4-star "SAKUB" hotels.

The restaurants offering both European and national cuisine will serve the meals for our groups.

DAY 1
Arrive in Minsk. Check-in at "Oktyabrskaya", "Belarus", "Orbita", " Yubileynaya" or "Planeta" hotel.
City tour including visit to the historic part of the city (Trinity Suburb), Janka Kupala Park, People's Poet of Belarus, modern centre of the city, new residential estates, the Picture Gallery of Belarus.
Theatre or folk concert.

DAY 2
Departure to Novogrudok (150 km). On the way visit of Mir Castle, 15-16th century monument.
Visit of A.Mitskevich museum in Novogrudok, places of interest of the town: ruins of the 11th century castle, a catholic cathedral of the early 15th century, Svityaz lake. Lunch in Novogrudok.
Departure to Grodno (160 km). Check in at a hotel in Grodno.

DAY 3
Visiting places of interest in Grodno, Kalozh Church (11th century), Old Castle (11th century). Visit of a Moslem centre, a Catholic Church, an Orthodox Church or a Synagogue (the choice of the clients). Meeting the believers.

DAY 4
Departure to Minsk (310 km). Check-in at one of "SAKUB" hotels.
Tour to Raubichi Folk Arts and Crafts Museum. Diasplayed are folk costumes, fine fabrics, articles made of straw, carved wood, earthenware.
Evening tasting of national dishes and drinks (optional).

DAY 5
Full-day trip to the collective farm. It includes view of the collective farm, private houses, the kindergarten, lunch in Belarusian national style riecting the peasants.

DAY 6
Special visits. Meeting the professionals (as chosen by the tourists). Departure.
